The covers are off all the new cars at the Detroit Motor Show. CAR associate editor Tim Pollard makes sense of it all. It's been quite a motor show.
Remember the Ford Mondeo Vignale concept from Frankfurt? It's basically a posh Mondeo, but Ford would like us to think it's a bit more than that. Vignale is Ford's attempt at going upmarket – taking on German premium brands with 'Vignale lounges' in special dealerships and specially trained 'relationship managers'.
Top Gear USA arrives on BBC Three next week. Top Gear is something of a phenomenon. From a rather stuffy show fronted by the likes of William Woollard and Angela Rippon, it has morphed in to the world’s most popular car programme bar none.
